The Avid Seamstress Workshops
One of the things we love about sewing is that there’s always something new to learn. Whether you’re a seasoned sewist ready to take that next step, or you want to dust off your machine and have a reminder of the basics, we’ve got you covered.
We are delighted to open the doors to our gorgeous NEW studio. Set in a redeveloped farm building in the beautiful Dorset countryside, we are located in Witchampton, just 3 miles north of the attractive market town of Wimborne Minster.
Our beautiful studio features large tables, numerous sewing machines and all the equipment needed for workshops.
- Free on-site parking
- Clean bathroom (shared with other studios in the building)
- Private kitchen space
- Fridge and microwave
- Tea and coffee provided
- Farm shop downstairs
- Please note the studio is on the first floor. There is no lift, which unfortunately means it is not wheelchair accessible. There are not many stairs so we can help carry machines if you bring your own.
We offer Social Sewing Saturdays where you can bring your project and sew with us, one-to-one lessons, learn to use a sewing machine and many garment making workshops. You can learn with our expert teachers including Charlotte Newland who will teach you how to make your own pair of jeans.
