The Aesthetic: Luxury from The Avid Seamstress is your luxury sewing subscription service delivered on a bi-monthly basis.

- Curated high-quality fabric, specially selected for the pattern. You'll be able to select between choices offered
- Sewing tools and/or gifts to enhance their environment and boost your well being and sense of calm
- Access to our private Facebook community where you can share your progress, ask for advice and share your wonderful makes.
- Notions to give your projects those perfect finishing touches
You'll be charged on the date of your first order and then bi-monthly on the 6th of the month a kit is due until the subscription service is cancelled.
How does it work?
To enable us to order your chosen fabric and package up your beautiful subscription box, we follow this schedule:
Sign up window: by the 6th
Subscribe by 10pm on the 6th of the month that a subscription is released to receive that month’s box. Any sign-ups after the 6th will receive the following box e.g. if you sign up on 9th May your first box will be received in July.
Payments:
You'll be charged on the date of your first order and will receive the next kit and then bi-monthly on the 9th thereafter of the month a kit is due until the subscription service is cancelled.
After your first payment, you'll be able to pause your subscription before the next payment comes off giving you total control of your subscription.
Choose your fabric: 7th/8th
On the 7th of the month we’ll send you the fabric options. We will choose fabrics that will perfectly complement the pattern included, and you can select your favourite. If you have no preference and prefer a surprise, we’re happy to choose for you! You'll get to choose your fabric or pause your subscription if you aren't feeling that month's kit (we're hoping to provide such beautiful fabric that this won't happen).
Sit back and relax
You can relax while we get to work! Your box will be posted in the last week of the month. We send our boxes on a tracked service.
Can I pause my subscription after seeing the pattern or fabric choices?
Yes, we will email you details of the next luxury edit to let you know the pattern included and the fabric choices (your special gift will be a surprise though!). We will let you know the window of time, normally a couple of days, to let us know your choice of fabric, or if you would like to pause. If you do pause, please note you won’t receive anything that will be included i.e. the gift/any extras we’re including. Your subscription will then automatically renew for the next edition.
Can I cancel or pause?
Absolutely. We understand times change, so if you need to take a break, just email us at hello@theavidseamstress.co.uk and we can pause your subscription. If you decide to pause, we will send a brief email each month to see if you would like to renew your subscription, but there is no pressure, we just want to check in so you don't miss out. If you prefer to cancel, please email to let us know and we will remove you from the subscription mailing list.
What if I already have the pattern?
If you already have the pattern included in the next kit, gift it to a friend or let us know and we will refund the retail price of the pattern.
Can someone buy it as a gift?
Yes! This makes the perfect gift, and we have an option for a 2 kit subscription in our GIFT Subscription Service in case longer-term is too much of a commitment. We’ll make sure no billing details are included in the box, and you can include a gift note, too.

How does it work?
To enable us to order your chosen fabric and package up your beautiful subscription box, we follow this schedule:
Sign up window: by the 12th
Subscribe by 10pm on the 12th of the month that a subscription is released to receive that month’s box. Any sign-ups after the 13th will receive the following box.
Choose your fabric: 14th
On the 14th of the month we’ll send you the fabric options. We will choose fabrics that will perfectly complement the pattern included, and you can select your favourite. If you have no preference and prefer a surprise, we’re happy to choose for you! You'll get to choose your fabric or pause your subscription if you aren't feeling that month's kit (we're hoping to provide such beautiful fabric that this won't happen).

As we only order the fabric and haberdashery once we have received all fabric choices, there is a time period to wait for everything to arrive before we can start packing. We will aim to send your box the minute they are ready but no later than the 2nd week of the following month. We send our boxes on a tracked service.

Our Curated kit will provide:

These kits are sent out monthly. The sign up window closed on the 14th and are sent in the last week of the month so if you order this kit as a gift after the 14th let us know as we often have extra in stock and can probably send out the same month's kit.
Luxury
Our luxury kits will provide:
- A printed sewing pattern from our collection
- Curated high-quality fabric, specially selected for the pattern.
- Sewing tools and/or gifts to enhance their environment and boost their well being and sense of calm
- Notions to give your projects those perfect finishing touches
The luxury kits are sent out every second month - July, September, November etc
The sign up window closed on the 6th of the month a kit is sent out and sent in the last week of the month so if you order this kit as a gift it will go out with the kits for July, Sept, Nov etc.
Sending as a gift?
If you wish the gift to go directly to your recipient, please ensure that the postal address and name is the recipient and kindly add a note to the order to let us know any additional details or notes that you would like us to include in the card or subscription kits when they go out.
We’ll make sure no billing details are included in the box.
