COVID POSTING DATES

So you have placed an order and want to know when to expect your package? We know what it's like to have a sewing project in mind and want your pattern as soon as possible, so we have made our postage solution as simple and quick as possible!

COVID UPDATE - please note that orders are taking considerably longer than usual. For UK, we've had cases of patterns arriving up to 10 days later than expected and for the rest of the world, we have had many cases of patterns taking up to 2-3 weeks longer than usual. Unfortunately, we will need to allow for this extra time before sending out a replacement.

Once your order has been paid for and accepted, your package will ship:

  • Your order will be sent within 2 working days after order confirmation

Our orders will be sent with Royal Mail.

We use the following postage options:

UK
All UK orders are sent Second Class with Royal Mail
You will receive an shipping confirmation but no tracking number is available for this service.

All orders over 1kg will be sent as a tracked service. 
All Kits are sent as a tracked service due to the value of the parcel. 
You will receive the tracking number for tracked items.

Europe/Rest of the World

For Europe 5-7 business days 

For the rest of the World 9 business days

All orders over 1kg will be sent as a tracked service. 
All Kits are sent as a tracked service due to the value of the parcel. 

You will receive the tracking number for tracked items.

 

SHIPPING

All products purchased from the Website are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss for such products pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.

If you have received your Order Confirmation Email but your products have not arrived within the time specified please check with your local mail delivery office to see that they are not holding your parcel. If they confirm that they do not have your products, please contact us at customerservice@theavidseamstress.co.uk and we will do our best to assist.

Royal Mail does not consider a parcel lost unless it has been missing 15 days in the UK, 20 days in Europe or 25 days in the rest of the world. If you believe your parcel has been lost, please get in touch with us at hello@theavidseamstress.co.uk. 

Note that during exceptionally busy periods (e.g. Christmas) or when the weather is particularly inclement please allow an additional day before raising a query.
