The Aesthetic is a carefully prepared sewing kit for the modern, mindful maker. The kits are released when a sewing pattern and fabric come together in a way that just feels right. 

Rather than working to a fixed schedule, each kit is created in response to new patterns or particularly beautiful fabric finds - allowing us to work slowly, thoughtfully, and with care.

Subscribers are invited to view and purchase each kit first, before it's released more widely.

How the sewing kits work

✂️ Released when the time is right

The Aesthetic kits are released occasionally throughout the year, alongside new sewing patterns or when we discover fabric that feels perfectly suited to a design. There's no fixed timetable - each kit is created intentionally, not routinely.

📩 Early Access for Subscribers

Subscribers are invited to preview and purchase the kit first, before it's released to the public. If any kits remain after the early access period, they may be made available more widely. 

Limited by nature

Kits are produced in small quantities. Availability depends on fabric supply and the nature of each release.

What's Included - each kit includes:

  • An Avid Seamstress printed sewing pattern from our collection.
  • Carefully selected high-quality fabric  (with options where available).
  • All the haberdashery needed to complete the project.
  • An exclusive video with project-specific guidance, including pattern and fabric tips.
  • Additional video support for any areas that may benefit from extra explanation.
  • Access to our private Facebook group for support and community.

Prices vary depending on the fabric and contents of each kit. 

Shipping

Kits are dispatched approximately two to three weeks after orders close to allow time for sourcing and packing. Shipping rates vary depending on fabric and package size, with the pricing listed with each kit.

FAQs

Am I tied into a subscription service?

No. The Aesthetic is not a subscription service. Early access simply gives you the option to view and purchase each kit before it's released publicly. 

What if I miss the early access window?

Once early access closes, any remaining kits may still be available to the public, but quantities are limited. 

What if I don't want a particular kit?

That's absolutely fine. There's no obligation to purchase - simply ignore the email if a kit isn't right for you.

Can I gift the kit as a gift?

Yes, a lovely idea. You can:

  1. Email us and we'll help you plan a gift around an upcoming release or we may be able to put together a bespoke kit for you.
  2. Purchase a gift card, allowing the recipient to choose a kit when the time feels right.
