Join your hosts, Lisa and Amanda, for four nights in a beautiful 15th-century manor house in Painswick, with three full days dedicated to sewing, lovely food and time for yourself.
With just eight guests, you’ll have plenty of personal guidance and encouragement, alongside the pleasure of spending a few days with people who love sewing as much as you do.
Think honey-coloured stone, original wooden beams, gorgeous interiors and comfortable bedrooms. Part of the house was once an 18th-century embroidery workshop ~ we can’t think of a more fitting place to bring our sewing friends together!
Time to sew, space to unwind
Settle into your projects with Lisa and Amanda on hand to help you along the way. Between sewing sessions, enjoy a quiet coffee in the courtyard, explore Painswick’s pretty streets or curl up in one of the inviting living spaces.
Whether you’re coming with a friend or joining us on your own, you can look forward to a warm welcome and a relaxed few days of making and being looked after.

Choose your bedroom
The eight bedrooms are spread throughout the property, each with its own character and charm. Every room has a super king bed and its own bathroom, with a choice of first- and second-floor accommodation.
Browse the bedroom photographs and details before selecting your preferred room when booking. Please check the access arrangements, as Bedroom 8 is reached via a spiral staircase and has a private shower room just outside the bedroom.

Spread the cost
Payment plans are available, with a deposit followed by monthly instalments. The full balance must be paid one month before the retreat. Please contact us to discuss your payment schedule.

Closer to the retreat, we’ll send you a detailed welcome pack and arrange a call to chat about what you’d love to make, discuss pattern and fabric options, and help you prepare.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your booking, the following cancellation charges apply:
- 10 weeks or more before the retreat: 50% of the total booking price.
- Less than 10 weeks but more than 6 weeks before the retreat: 75% of the total booking price.
- 6 weeks or less before the retreat: 100% of the total booking price.
Charges are calculated on the full retreat price, including bookings paid by instalments.
