The Creative Spirit - Luxury Sewing Retreats

Centred around sewing, rest and relaxation in a truly luxury setting.No rushing, no blitzing three dresses in as many days, just slowly and methodically enjoying the practice of sewing with like minded crafters. Enjoy holistic experiences such as meditation and massage so that you can truly unwind. With no schedule to stick to, you can pick which activities feel right for you.

What's included
Accommodation, food, snacks, refreshments, indoor swimming pool, sauna, massage and more. You'll also receive an Avid Seamstress sewing pattern to sew at the retreat.

The Creative Workshop
The workshop is a beautiful, tranquil space with a relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of room available with rustic wooden tables and chairs. The workshop space is light and inspired by the farm's rich history.

All levels are welcome. If you are a beginner, we’ll share our knowledge and help you create your first garment. If you are a more seasoned sewist, you’ll still be able to pick up lots of tips along the way. With at least two teachers, you'll receive ample support.

What you need to bring
Pick an Avid Seamstress sewing pattern to make at the retreat. With a new sewing pattern on the horizon, you'll have an exciting new option to add to your sewing plans.

Bring your fabric, haberdashery, sewing machine and overlocker (or borrow our machines). Work on one more complicated project, such as The Blazer, or easier projects to wind away the hours. We can help you select the sewing pattern perfect for you. 

Accommodation

Choose from double occupancy or single occupancy rooms in the Farmhouse or bring a bestie and stay in the self catering cottage with a self catering kitchen, lounge and private outdoor bateau bath.

Set in a luxe farmhouse in Blandford Forum, Dorset

Rail - Salisbury (15 miles), Poole (15 miles) and Dorchester (23 miles).

Air - The nearest airports are Bournemouth (24 miles), Southampton (43 miles) and Bristol (70 miles). We are an approx 2 hour drive from Heathrow and an approx 2.5 hour drive from Gatwick.
