Looking for a fun and creative introduction to sewing?

In this one-day workshop, you'll learn the basics of using a sewing machine while transforming a beach towel into a practical bag that's perfect for trips to the beach, swimming lessons, holidays or the gym.

Throughout the day, we'll guide you through each step, helping you build confidence with a sewing machine while creating a project you'll be proud to use again and again.

No previous sewing experience is needed - just come along and enjoy a relaxed day of sewing in our beautiful Dorset studio.

What to Bring

We'll send you everything you need to know before the workshop, including the type of beach towel to bring.

Please also bring:

Lunch, drink and snack. There is the wonderful Chettle Farm Shop nearby, where you can pick up lunch for the day.

Bringing Your Own Sewing Machine?

You're very welcome to bring your own sewing machine so you can learn on the machine you'll be using at home.

Before attending, please ensure your machine is:

Clean and in good working order
Complete with its power lead, foot control and any accessories you'll need
Safe to use, with no visible damage to the plug, cable or machine

When you arrive, we'll carry out a quick visual check before your machine is plugged in. If we have any concerns about the safety or condition of your equipment, we may ask that it not be used during the workshop.
